Most owners arrive on the call asking for a thing. A new ERP. A portal. A workflow tool. We put all of that aside first.
The work of the call isn’t to scope features. It’s to find what you’re actually trying to move in your business, and the underlying reason your current software isn’t moving it. We call that the North Star.
Once we know what we’re solving for, we walk an honest ROI together. We talk through what success looks like in dollars or hours, what it would take to get there, and whether custom software is the right vehicle.
Sometimes the answer is no. We’ve sent prospects toward off-the-shelf tools. We’ve told people their underlying issue isn’t a software problem. Either way, you leave with clarity.
If the answer is yes, we get building.
By the time you sign the test-phase invoice, we’ve usually had several calls. Requirements are clear. Day one is build day.
The first week or two depends on the engagement. Sometimes it’s heads-down build because the scope is clean. Sometimes it’s another round of clarifying conversations because something new surfaced. There’s no template here. Every engagement runs differently.
What is consistent: you own the code from day one. The 60-day money-back applies. If at any point in the first sixty days you decide we’re not the right fit, we refund your first month.
Most test phases run eight to twelve weeks. By the end, you have something usable in production, against the North Star we defined together.
Once we’ve proven the work in the test phase, the relationship continues month-to-month. Most clients stay for a year and counting.
We send weekly updates by default. Most clients meet with us virtually at least once a week to see what’s been built. You watch features land in real time.
Here’s the part that’s hard to find anywhere else: when we make changes, we open them up so you can interact with the work-in-progress before it ships. Not a sandbox you have to log into asynchronously. The thing we’re building, in your hands, while we’re still building it.
Resources scale with the work. If you need more hands for a sprint, we add them. If things slow down, we scale down. You aren’t paying for capacity you aren’t using.
And if you ever decide to leave, there’s no contract. No one’s done it yet, but the door is always open.
